Link to BBC News Item – Two churchyards in Cornwall get Dispersal Orders!

Here is a link to take you to a BBC News Item regarding two churchyards in Cornwall being  granted dispersal orders so the police can remove groups of people if they are appearing to be acting with anti-social behaviour!

The News Item starts by informing us that:

“The orders have been approved for the churchyard of St Martin and St Meriadoc’s and the Centenary Methodist churchyard, both in Camborne.

The orders run until 30 September and police can remove groups of two or more people for a period of 24 hours.

Police said it was first time churches in Devon or Cornwall had got orders”.

I am really amazed that it has come to this and to two churchyards here in Cornwall!!  (And neither so far away from the Mithian Church that I keep my Graveyard Rabbit eye on!
